05/2021- The first ever Hawaiian Petrel pair from two translocated chicks at Nihoku has laid an egg!

12/12/2020- A total of 86 Newell's Shearwaters and 106 Hawaiian Petrels have fledged from Nihoku since 2015

12/2020- 19 Hawaiian Petrels and 20 Newell's Shearwaters fledged during our final translocation year!
11/11/2019 - Our first Hawaiian Petrel has fledged for 2019!
11/11/2019 - Since 2016, 66/66 Newell's Shearwater chicks have fledged from Nihoku!
11/11/2019 - All 20 Newell's Shearwater chicks have fledged, 
10/15/2019 - 20 Hawaiian Petrel chicks were translocated into Nihoku
9/12/2019 - 20  Newell's Shearwater chicks were translocated into Nihoku
12/6/2018 - 115/117 translocated chicks have fledged from the Nihoku  since 2015!
12/6/2018 - 19/20 Hawaiian Petrel chicks fledged for the year
​11/18/2018 - 100 translocated chicks have fledged from the Nihoku site!
11/2/2018 - All 21 Newell's Shearwater chicks have fledged for the year from the Nihoku site!
11/30/2017- Only one more petrel left to fledge! 
11/03/2017-  All 18 of the Newell's Shearwater chicks have fledged for the year
10/19/2017- 20 Hawaiian Petrel chicks were translocated from the mountains of Kauai to Nihoku
09/13/2017- A total of 18 Newell's Shearwater chicks were translocated this week from their mountain homes 
12/05/2016- All 20 Hawaiian Petrel chicks, and all eight Newells Shearwater chicks have fledged for 2016!
